STAYABILITY

FAQs

What is Stayability?

Stayability is a booking platform that helps travelers discover vacation rentals with verified accessibility, usability, and family-friendly features. Guests can browse, communicate with hosts, and book directly through the platform.

Do I need an accessible property to list on Stayability?

No. Many properties may have some accessibility features even if they are not fully accessible. Accessibility is not all or nothing, any features you have can be helpful to a broad range of travelers.

How is Stayability different from Airbnb or Vrbo?

Stayability focuses on helping travelers identify properties with accessibility-related features. Each listing is verified through our virtual verification process and includes detailed accessibility information not typically available on traditional booking platforms.

What does "Stayability Verified" mean?

Stayability Verified indicates that the property has completed Stayability's review process, which includes an accessibility questionnaire, measurements, photographs, review by our team and a virtual property walkthrough. Verification is intended to help document and communicate a property's features and does not constitute a guarantee of accessibility.

Who developed the Stayability verification process?

The Stayability verification process was developed by a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), and Executive Certificate in Home Modification holder with experience evaluating environmental barriers, accessibility-related features, and functional usability in residential settings.

Does Stayability guarantee accessibility?

No. Accessibility needs vary significantly from person to person. Stayability does not guarantee that any property will meet a guest's specific requirements. All guests are encouraged to review property details before booking to ensure the space will work well for them.

Does Stayability certify ADA compliance?

No. Stayability does not certify ADA compliance, building code compliance, or legal accessibility compliance.
